I am sorta leaning towards what he said.paul bristol uk wrote:I will keep a presence on there while it exists but turn your question around at the moment PUK is abandoning you.mercutio wrote:i hate the thought of abandoning Puk
If you can't get in touch with the administrator within at least 12 hour period then yeah, something is definitely wrong.
There used to be this forum called Redline9. Honda-Acura forum that was really sucessful and had a great group of core members and hundreds of supporting people that made up thebody of the forum. Then the spammer thing happened, and nothing was done about that at all. Eventually the forum fell apart and everyone dissolved into other forums. RIP RL9.
I really hope this doesnt happen to PUK, but if the admins refuse to stop the spammer problems then they just dont care. There are many, MANY ways to end spammer problems. Change registration policy, do severe IP banning, register the forum with websites that prevent spammers etc etc. I am not a specialist, but I been to forums where spam tried to ruin it, but the administration took care of it within a few days.
If you really want something to change, you need to get about 100 members to email that administrator and kick his arse for neglecting a forum that you all called home for some many years.
