Locking issues and other oddities
I used to be like that but now I'm a bit OCD about windows either having to be closed or on the latch so I don't have to check as I know they're all 'locked'

I do the same, and end up checking both sides usually (but my passenger lock is a bit sticky so sometimes it doesn't unlock/lock).nitin_s1 wrote:I lock my car, walk couple of steps and then walk back to check if it's actually locked.
Since I've been thinking about it there are more things I find myself doing. Every night before I go to bed I have to go check the gas hobs, even though I know they're off because I turned them off earlier on. I also have a weird lamp that's on a dimmer switch which I pretty much always have to go unplug, like I'm para that it'll dimmer itself on and do something and burn the house down. Padlocks as well are usually a bit of problem, I end up closing them, then trying to separate it to make sure it's actually locked. It's so stupid, I think anything with a switch just weirds me out.

If I'm to leave the house I always check the windows, doors, plug sockets, lights, oven and gas on the hob.
Then when I've left the front door I go back and try push it open. Then try the handle to make sure its locked (when i know it is)
Then I get to my car and then get out and make sure the garage padlock is locked, get back in the car go a few feet down the drive and have to think "did I close the front door" so I take a quick look at the front door, can never see it so hve to check again, (believe me when I say its a pain in the arse if your wearing motorcycle helmet, gloves etc)
It drives me crazy but that only if I'm the last to leave the house. If someone's in then I can leave it all open at it wouldn't bother me.
I always have to check all zips are done up on my rucksack before using my motorcycle too...
It's not just you, we all have our own personal weird routines

The pushy door thing while trying the handle, it's like you're trying to break in isn't it? And then you have that stupid thought in your head "Well if I can't get in then it's all fine."
