Yesterday wasn't so good; I reorganised the Teg's centre box trying to get off the Reedham ferry. We will complete our week away tomorrow but with more noise and fumes than we started. We think the car's jinxed when it comes to taking it on holiday.
So what was the story with the The box, then? What happened and how is it now?
(the pubs in reedham are good BTW - they do love a good lock in :D )

Sorry, Wurly, I've just noticed that I didn't reply to your question.

The centre box caught on the off-ramp lip. The exhaust from there back was pushed against the rear valance and could not be shifted with next to no tools. The net result was that the plastic melted slightly by the time I could do something about it. This was fixable with a sharp knife. A rubber mallet and a tiny bit of welding sorted the rest.

Not what I did today, but what Jan managed on his bike: Bridge-to-gantry at the Ring below 8 minutes, fast enough to be eighth on the Wiki page, were he to offer it to them. He was being chased by someone in a very quick car that managed to film half a minute. The was applause from within the car at one of Jan's moves. I'm both proud of him and scared witless ...

No chance - his is better! The engine bay is nothing special I'm afraid - it's standard except a nicely painted rocker cover and liberal foam and silver tape insulation on the air intake side.

Did another job - new alternator and new PS belt - took longer than expected, some of those 12mm bolts were super tight and in an awkward space. Old ones were fine - but preventative maintenance never goes amiss - it's a hobby at the end of the day, otherwise id have bought a newer car a long time ago lol (still fancy a new Honda E , but given I'm working from home its not really needed).

Noticed the PAS cooler finned pipe is starting to weep out a little - another job for the future....

Gave the s2000 a well deserved and detailed wash and took it out for a little drive. Bloody Awesome.
Stopped at Asda's for some photos and abit of shopping.
