Lo All
Took My Lude to a local tyre place.
I just wanted to have both passenger side Tyres removed from rims and resealed as I have had annoying rim leaks.
Then the problems started.
They couldn't remove one of the wheel nut's on the front wheel.
They said it had been over tightened and didn't want to snap the hub bolt .
Then the rear had a wheel nut that was completely striped .
So they couldn't remove the rear wheel either.
Then to top it off I then spotted a lovely wood screw in the centre of the tyre .
So I took My Lude to My usual garage and He removed the two offending wheel nut's with a hand bar and a whack with a mallet in about 20 seconds .
The resealed the front , fixed the rear puncture and replaced the knackered rear wheel nut.
All for £40
Congratulations to vtecmec for winning May/June's Lude Of The Month, with his DIY Turbo BB1 build.

sounds like it was on its way to being a disaster
glad you got it sorted
most of will have had similar issues with wheel alignment or tyre fitting places and yet a decent mechanic can fix things like stuck bolts or stripped nuts without any fuss

Tyre Wheel Nut Issues
Lo All
Three day's after the latest fix the front was flat as a pancake again
Took it to first place again and they found leak from valve and needed a bit of a clean up on the beading on the tyre.
Hopefully it's finally fixed fingers
Cheers

Tyre Wheel Nut Issues
The rear one I had repaired has lost air twice now
Thought probably needs a new valve.
Took it to local tyre place again.
Recommended to replace all four Tyres due to excessive cracking in treads
They showed Me the areas and they are bad
Still have loads of tread depth on them
So ordered four new Goodyear F1's to be fitted today.
Better to be safe than sorry I suppose.
Cheers all

Yikes. Four new boots....bet that put a dent in your wallet. Still, as you say, better safe than sorry. Glad it's all worked out.

I find that if you aren't going to do mega miles, you are better off going for a softer tyre.
The wife has Goodyear eagle as4 tyres and they already seem to show a fair amount of micro cracks all over and they are probably only 3 years old. She does reasonable mileage so the tread is getting close to replacement so nothing lost on that side.
Not to cause you any worry of course, new tyres are new tyres!
I'll probably go for something soft on the lude again this summer.

Lo All
Yep a fair dent
I've had advisory on rear tyres for cracks for last three MOTs but not the fronts.
Front tyres have been on since June 2021 and done about 11K.
They also did a set-up check but only rectified the toe.
The caster was OK but they have left the camber red is this normal ?
Cheers guy's
