No problem. Do you have to pay in advance for the ferry?lewd lude lover wrote:yes as long as you can meet us at the terminal?
Think I might book a local B&B for the night.
This morning I had a bad feeling I wasn't gone make next weekend:

be careful that your video recorder is not too visible or easily removable as video recording is normaly banned on the track.CARRisma wrote:- Fit in-car video recorder.
I already was stopped by a guy at the entrance (blocking every body else ) until I removed my camera. (just have to reattach the camera after the barrier )
I'm not saying those guys are here every time but you should know that

Because you are a go getter with a fantastic car that deserves to go on a mad road trip and can see the positive application of cash for fun given the right situation?Gayno wrote:Why do I have this niggling in the back of my head that I should come to this last minute?!
I really think you should. come with us on thurs day of you can get friday off.

and yes cameras are banned on the ring full stop. you can take film and pics from the track side but they are looking out for them now apparently. you can hire one of their cameras if you want to rwscord it but otherwose they will happily ban you now.
Basically they are covering their arse legally. no film means no evidence that a shill lawyer could build a case on (water on the track but no 'warning' sign etc) if you hire theirs you will have to sign a waiver.
Though I am happy for you to chance it as it will be my car you are taking video of

I think the 06:40 departure is a little too early for me
On Thursday night I'll be staying in Canterbury so I've got a shorter drive in the morning.
I've booked a ferry crossing with DFDS Seaways, Dover to Dunkirk, departing at 08:00 with a two hour crossing time.
I think you're returning to the UK on the Tuesday? My return ferry is scheduled to depart from Dunkirk on Sunday at 18:00, however, it is flexible up to 72 hours either side.
