Toms 1999 VTi 4WS LHD
So as promised, here is the BB8 I picked up last Saturday. I took a 4hr drive to get there by 15:30 and then found out the seller had to be at work by 17:00... bummer. So I got to and gave it the once over and managed to snatch it in time before he had to get back.
Paintwork isn't too bad although it has had work done before. The interior is near perfect with nothing missing or broken except the radio has been changed and the cigarette lighter holder surround has a crack in it. Engine wise, it works I guess haha vtec kicks in and there is no funny noises. I did a block test upon purchase and it does not overheat.
At the moment it needs:
Front tyres (I'll be changing all 4)
Alignment/tracking
cam-belt kit (although not due for another 7000km)
major service
the rear right wheel has slight play in it when rocked at the 9 and 3 o'clock position
it could probably do with new shock and springs
clutch just starts to judder on initial movement although no slip and the pedal is not high? Do sports clutches judder when cold from a standstill?
And I think that's about it.
Anyway, here are some pics and I hope you enjoy!

Thanks for the kind words guys and gal.
I guess the only way I'm going to find out is by having a look haha.NafemanNathan wrote:Looks nice. Not many about in that colour
Standard clutches don't judder. Uprated ones, especially paddle clutches often do depending on the stage.

The guy didn't say anything about it and didn't work on the car himself, but he only had it a year so it could have the clutch fitted from a previous owner. I can't explain why it judders when cold from a standstill if not...perhaps it's just worn.NafemanNathan wrote:Can you not ask the previous owner?
Having seen it I'd be surprised if it has an uprated clutch in it.
