Morning all,

So another member not very active and friend decided it was time to sell up his 2.0 F20 5th Gen UK spec nothing special. I grabbed it for a steal and its in the process of getting it MOTable front springs are gone, tie rod ends getting replaced. Worry is the decat thats on it so gotta try find if someone has a spare one kicking about so can get it MOT'd.

Plans for the car have been back and forward but having a discussion with the wee man 4.5 YO he has decided he wants it to be a race car. I have a spare h22 import engine i removed from the 4th gen and still have all the OBD1 loom ancillaries and p13 ecu. I was going to put it all on the 4th i have with the H22a7 engine but think ill go OBD1 with both (any advice welcome.)

Also anything transferable from the F20 to the H22 in the way of ancillaries?

Also watch this space there will be 5th gen goodies coming your way. Ill need to upload some pics if i can remember.

So the joys of working on a car that has sat for 2 years.

O/S, spring, track rod end, upper arm bushes. track rod is drokking ceased, had it white hot and still wont budge so i've got inner rod on order along with the upper arm bushes.
N/S, spring, track rod end, ceased brake slides. This side actually give its due has been the easier side to work on.

Hoping to get a hold of a 2nd hand cat to get through mot and over to crail get some standard 1/4 mile times.

plenty swearing involved trust me. drokking drive shafts were stuck in the hub too.

Evening all.

Quick query, i had issue with charge depleating in the battery dash and stereo died then the car. Jump start starts 1st time then dies after a minute or two. Thought alternator so got 2nd hand one same thing.
Before i get this sent back etc could it be anything else? Checked fuses all good and full continuity on them.

What voltage are you getting whilst the car is running?
