Hey all! New member to this forum - so happy to see that it's active and has people regularly contributing! I'm so surprised as I own a DC2 Type-R and it took me months to get access to the DC2 ITR forum...which has now shut down. What a shame that so much knowledge and info has now gone the way of the dodo...so I'm really glad this place exists! And that it's not a godawful facebook group page...
Anyway - I'm looking for some insight from you knowledge folks. I've been on the hunt for a nice 5th Gen Type-S. I saw this example pop up on a pretty new auction platform shootingbrake.com late last year:
https://shootingbrake.com/auction/details/33623
Unfortunately I missed the auction and I thought this car was gone forever...until lo and behold - it appears at a dealer today in Brighton with 150 extra kilometers and 3,100 extra pounds on the price!!
https://www.firstforcars.co.uk/used/car ... e-s-10238/
Anybody have any more info or background on this car? I'm interested in checking it out further but I'm willing to bet there's a story here....
Cheers!
Congratulations to vtecmec for winning May/June's Lude Of The Month, with his DIY Turbo BB1 build.

Welcome to LG!!
It's a nice looking car. It looks to be a fairly fresh import, if the MOT history is correct, the first MOT logged is 2020. https://www.check-mot.service.gov.uk/re ... on=P621gpf

The seller is on this forum. He is familiar with Preludes and has a few of his own.

Hi and welcome.
Don't recognise that one, but I've been out the circle for a while

Thanks both!
Yeah the history provided also stated it was imported around 2 years ago so good to see that aligns with the MOT history and hopefully that means less chance of rust issues.
Does anyone have the sellers name or username? Would love to get some background.
Also as there are so few type S' - what are your thoughts on the price? I'm mostly miffed that it's gone up 3k in 3 months!

Hi @ZZ33
That is my own prelude. Always wanted to own a 5th gen and when this type S came up I thought I'll have it.
I am a 4th gen fan but wanted a 5th gen, this ticked all the boxes.
I am not attached to it as much as my 4th gens but im not bothered if it sells, it is the lowest type s around and this has the benefits of have the new tein suspension setup to oem spec and the rare touchscreen climate, navigation and tv system even if it is unusable over here.
As for price, it is the cheapest one around and the best I think. Shooting brake had a £500 buyers fee and I had delivery also added so I'm not making much

@Hagland-BB4 thank you for the response and great speaking with you earlier today! Always good to find the actual owner and learn a little more about the car! I've requested the Japanese history so I'll get back to you soon.
Thanks again and also to everyone on here for being so welcoming and helpful - much appreciated!
