Keeping thinking about one of these as a daily, what sort of mpg are you seeing? And insurance? The 555 quid tax puts me off.

The tax is set to monthly, and just ignore it. Only way, mental breakdown otherwise :D

I'm mainly doing fairly short runs, which is getting me around 24mpg - long runs you hover just above 30. I'm sure I could get more, but I like the loud pedal too much.

Insurance was ~£300, which wasn't much more than my Volvo at £280.

I think I can't really deem this car 'sensible' when I already have the Type S as a toy. I will need a bigger car for daily duties soon, but might look at an old Accord instead.

My Type S with a load of mods declared is only £350, I am 34 with 10 years NCB. I think a lot of it is down to postcode.
