Wow you have seen abit of the place then, I haven’t been down to S/A yet but been too Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and further north to Cairns.. did you like it over here?
Loved it. Melbourne my least favourite of the Aus cities I've been to (it's really easy to get around - the tram network is great and free within in the whole CBD is excellent - and there's lots to see but... The centre really just isn't the most attractive of cities - randomly developed, some of the ugliest MF skycrapers and no kind of defined areas where particular things have dynamically developed e.g. 'this is where all the clubs are', 'this is where all the strip joints are', 'this is where all the late night burger joints are'...). It's also the one with the least space and the weather in Melbourne isn't the best!
Adelaide on the other hand, is one of the most beautiful cities I've ever been to. Absolutely *loved* it (most people that love cities would probably find it too 'quiet' for a city, though!)
I know what you mean it’s all abit like that over here I find it abit random and there’s very little history or beautiful old buildings.. I suppose it’s a relatively young country compared with the UK.

So the CL9…
Got around it this week, got the old girl in the back shed yesterday afternoon and made a start..

Got it up on axle stands, dropped the subframe down to remove the steering rack.

Striped that and sent it for rebuild..
Also been needing to do the front and rear engine mounts (pitch mounts) since I bought it and it’s always spoiled the drive abit as the engine movement is affecting the gear change at times..

Bolted them up this evening so just gunna clean everything up and wait for the rack tomorrow..

Hah Brisbane is ok, good clubbing scene in Fortitude Valley, very nice river walking paths and plenty of things to see and do there, it’s abit rough either side north and south of the city though but that is to be expected I suppose..

So this turned into a jobby fight….

Friday last week all was going well, put the rack back in, came to bolt the front engine mount up to subframe and the bolt holes were miles out..
Removed and compared to the old mount to find the base plate appeared to be the wrong way around, phone calls to the local parts supplier I bought them from had me weaving through rush hour traffic to get to them before they close only to get there and be told it was a manufacturing error and they were all welded together wrong in factory  :lolno:
They were very cheap so I’m not surprised but still annoying as the old mount is rooted…
Saturday morning threw the old mount in and finished the job, filled with fluid and went to bleed the system… no power steering at all.. :?
tried all the tricks in the book to bleed the system but no good, concluded it must be the relief valve in the pump, removed pump and sent for testing… result was no problem with pump.. :wtf:
refitted pump retried more random ways of bleeding but still nothing…
Conversation with the guy who rebuilt the rack concluded it must be the rack… so back out with the rack
Back for testing only to be told there’s nothing wrong with it .. he questioned the reservoir’s condition so took it out and got it pressure cleaned..
So threw it all back together today hoping for the best but when I first started it this afternoon still no power steering, was seriously starting to question my sanity by now and the my work colleague came over to have a feel of the steering, he gave it one good knock against the lock stop and boom!! We have power steering at last!! :?

Not sure what happened but I can only assume that the relief valve was stuck and hitting the lock stop with abit of force was enough to free it up, how the guy didn’t pick up on it when the pump was tested I don’t know… anyway alls we’ll that ends well…
Gave it a good de grease and drove her home, just need a wheel alignment now

I think you could be right but I tried many different ways of bleeding including raising the reservoir hight, eve running a funnel and tube int the res cans opening the pipes at the rack and pump whilst running.. was a bit of a fat if I’m honest

The front and rear lips are Honda option “Modulo” style or I think sometimes called “A-spec”??
These are reps not OE made

Yes, that is a good look.
