Love beetles, my dad had a 69er he made it in to a woody. But that car pretty much was a concourse car. Only had 30k on the clock and the engine was even shiney from under neigh. 8-)
But after he finished the project he almost immediately sold the car :(

Since the aircooled virus is known to be contagious, I'm sort of hooked and secretly dreaming of building a volksrod myself once :)

Hitting the rust loose!

Oh yea, I've heard that the air cooled scene is very addictive. I've just always fancied a beetle, and now I have one :D You should definitely do a Volksrod, just maybe start with something a bit more solid than this one!

Some photos of it now it's stripped out and I've been hitting things with a screwdriver!!

:? I have a couple of them too - unfortunately my tyres cost over £200 a pop though

If you overinflate it slightly, you should be able to get it round again so at least the car rolls about easily!

I think there might still be some metal there somewhere, if you look hard enough? :?

Some new carpets and who'll know?

There is metal there, round by the spine and the front bulkhead and rear firewall.

Nath, let's just say what I paid for it, I could make a profit just from the VIN and logbook, and the engine is worth more on its own too.

Shiny, it's just been parked in a not very dry garage for 18 years

Presumably the interior has value too? It looked like it was all there, original and in good nick?
