Loving the new wheels too. Pat on the back for doing something correctly and not destroying it completely or turning it into a rat jobby.
Congratulations to vtecmec for winning May/June's Lude Of The Month, with his DIY Turbo BB1 build.

Re: Sid the Trike
LOL Sam, just wait till you see what I've got in store for the rest of it!!
Clean up the front end:
- leather tool roll ontop of the headlamp mounted to the square thing I have above it at the moment
- cover up the pipes and lines that are exposed on the sides at the moment, make up a small cover or something to go over them
- modify the original dials surround so that the dials don't look quite so "plonked on"
Clean up the rear end:
- trim the arches down like mad, or get some new arches that will suit it better
- put some extra storage boxes on the dog guard / rear load shelf so I have somewhere to stick my jacket if I don't want to wear that around.
Airbrushing on the fuel tank - this is a rough first draft for the sides: (note, the lack of top of head is because I couldn't find an image to use that had the top of her head in it! )

Got the wheel arches trimmed down a bit too, and they definitely suit the trike with the new wheels a lot better now too

Re: Sid the Trike
Centre stand catching issue has now been resolved - I went with bigger tyres!
It is also like it has an extra gear now. On the smaller tyres, 70mph was 7000rpm when in 5th gear. Now, 70mph is 7000rpm in 4th gear, and about 6000rpm in 5th so massive improvement on the gearing there. Think it also has a beefier, tougher look to it now as well!

Useful for when doing work. You have to jack your car up and put it on an axle stand. I just pull this up on the centre stand, job done

Re: Sid the Trike
Yea, look at some old austins, they have jacks built into them that you put a handle in through to wing and wind them down. Mines just a variant of that really.
Cheers, yea, I think it all looks better with the bigger wheels. Plus my fuel consumption has gone from 25mpg to 35mpg with the bigger tyres

Bat Cowl!!
Done a bit of playing, and modified the original dial surround to be the base point for the bikini fairing I'm going to make up. The cowling that has been made from the dial surround has been dubbed the "bat cowl", for obvious reasons
There will be side panels added to it, followed by some fibreglassing to join it all together with the square thing on the front at the moment. To finish it off, I will get a leather tool roll to sit ontop of the headlamp.
