Ammo's BMW E36 328 Saloon - Bought to Drift

After the engine died on the last car I had use of and the shell being so rotten. I decided to bite the bullet and purchase my own car.

Wanted a car that hadn't been drifted before to make a good base and this came up local







It's quite high mileage at 160k but has service history till 143k and comes with 12 months MOT

Everything works even the Aircon

First mods will be to swap the coilovers, welded diff and lock mods over from the old car. Then remove the traction control and ABS and see if it drifts. Oh and roll the front arches else the wheels will hit.

From there the intake manifold will be swapped over from the old car which should take it to over 200bhp or even more if it's remapped

I see from the first pic that you've already got replacement tyres for it.

Should drift nicely.

It looks a nice car. Does weight matter in a drift car? Do you have to strip it?

you should be pretty near 200bhp right now if the engine is sound tom. it looks in great nick all round. I have been unsure if moving the torque band up when changing the manifold is worth it for drift. But for the moordoor aspect i like.

The straight six with a decat can certainly turn a guys head

You don't have to, but most people do. Same principals as a track car. This will have the back half stripped and I'll leave in as much as possible in the front (Only really stripping the back so I can fill it with wheels)

Think if it's remapped you gain some of that back. Will see how it does first before I go down that road, it should have about 30bhp more than i'm used to so will see how it smokes the tyres
