B Pipe

Post by Tommodon » Tue Feb 17, 2015 3:08 pm

Hi guys (still learning lol)

A friend of mine has a Sportx B Pipe on his DC5 Type R and it sounds fantastic, not to loud just a nice touring car like sound.
Does anyone know what sort of unsilenced B pipe for my H22A8 BB8?
Cheers

Are we talking about a decat or a mid-section without a silencer or something?

There are no off the shelf parts for this car and engine. The 99+ H22a8 has completely different length exhaust sections to all other Preludes. As the 99+ H22a8 is also one of the rarest no manufacturer has make exhaust bits for it.

But don't forget I have an unmodified 4th gen cat back on my H22A8 with no issues other than it could do with being an inch or two longer (story of my life hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha :| ).

Yup.

That is using the whole CAT-back? I would think that if you mix and match parts you would run into some issues.

Yeah, agreed. But if he's that committed an accurate measurement or two might yield good results rather than blindly fitting something. Not saying it will work just that there may actually be something out there close enough.

The internal diameter of the H22a8's exhaust is 2.0" which is the same as every other Prelude except the Type-S (2.25").
