5th Gen - Fitting a new Under bonnet insulation pad

Post by PreludePete » Sat Jul 29, 2017 1:27 pm

Will be fitting a new 5th Gen under bonnet insulation pad and would be glad of some advice on the fixing clips.
Best way to remove them and where best to source new ones. ( Presumably old ones will be knackered!?)

Also I need a bonnet stay retaining clip, any one got one?

The retaining clip tends to shatter when removed so you'd probably be best getting one from Honda, they are about £3.50 new.

Or these from Halfords:

But as they're long, you'll need to snip the shaft in half.
