I bought these on the basis of the Evo tyre test where they came out top, mainly due to their progressive feel. I did find the Sport Contacts let go in one big scary momentDoggo wrote:Wheels look fantastic, Macky.
I've got those tyres on mine, same size, and they are the jobby. Bags of feel, tremendous grip dry, very good wet, and let go pretty progressively. (Just watch out for potholes, mine are the XL's and I've still lost 2 to relatively small impacts).
Congratulations to vtecmec for winning May/June's Lude Of The Month, with his DIY Turbo BB1 build.

Thanks all
Re: Macky's Type-S : wheeeeeels!!!!
Got some centre caps for the wheels
Not actually sure that I like the blue "H" badges on them but they are on for now I bought them to match the colour of the wheel nuts but they are so sunken in that you can hardly see them

Macky's Type-S: for sale £1000
Hi all,
Yep, you read that right. My Type S is for sale. My asking price is £1000
Good bits:
Interior is immaculate. Looks like new. Car has done 85,000 miles. (110,000 on odometer. 68,0000 was in Km)
Seats are in very good condition.
EP3 type R steering wheel. Bit of wear on this at the top but far superior look and feel to OEM wheel
MOT to September 2015
Tax to Feb 2015
4x Goodyear Eagle Asymmetric F1's have done less than 1000 miles
Work Meister S2r's redone in Titanium again been on the car for less than 1000 miles
Muteki Super Tuning Lug nuts
Custom 2.5 inch exhaust from downpipe back. Includes silenced decat pipe
Brake system overhauled 6 months ago.
Drilled and grooved MTEC discs all round. Black coated so never appear rusted 6 months old
Hawk HPS front pads 6 months old
Rear pads one year old
2x rear calipers reburbished one year go
Lowered on Eibach springs
methanol injection kit
Resonator removed
Induction kit
OEM front upper strut brace
Nippon Racing rear upper strut brace
Kenwood cd player
Brqnd new starter motor
Usual Type S goodies including:
Digital climate control
Carbon trim
Yellow needles
Hoeycomb grill
Flushmount rear spoiler
Car was dyno-ed this year making stock 217bhp. This was before the exhaust was fitted and the methanol kit working properly.
Bad points:
ATTS does not work. This has been diagnosed by Honda as needing a new left oil pressure sensor. The unit has to be removed from the car to have this fitted. The current unit has a slight leak and needs re-sealed.
I will supply a proven working ATTS unit for complete replacement.
Drivers door is a bit sticky
Drivers folding mirror needs regular WD40 to fold
Paintwork is not in great condition although I am majorly fussy when it comes to this!
Rear Motegi lip has crack
Passenger side Motegi lip has crack
Rear bumper split at passenger side tail light and scraped. I will supply a spare JDM rear bumper
Front bumper has had a mesh lower grill inserted (badly!) I will supply a front bumper with P1 replica lip
Bonnet badge was removed and the wholes had rusted. Repaired but not great
Usual 5th gear is a bit grinding
Arches need rolling as the wheels rub under heavy braking
I have tried to be as honest as I can with the description. The price I feel reflects the general condition of the car. Do not expect to pay £1000 for a Type S and for it to be pristine. I honestly feel that someone who is mechanically minded could be getting a bargain here. A bit of cash spent on the paint and this car could be transformed!
I will be sad to see it go. But after 10 years of Prelude ownership it is time to move on. I have just purchased an S2000 and really can't justify keeping the Lude to Kirsteen haha!
I also have a list of parts that I am willing to add at extra cost.
Including:
Angel eye headlights
Tanabe manifold
Apexi VAFC
Competion Clutches lightened flywheel
Accord type R clutch
I am pretty sure that I can get well over £2000 for the car if I break it but would really loathe to do that. Please don't make me do that
Mods: I will supply pics today but wanted to post this to save it. Ta!
This is the car as it stands today
