H22a7 power aim

No, not in the key of C. An H is likely involved though ...

Is the port and polish necessary without cams, As aren't the type S ports good anyway? I know its not bhp but wouldn't a lightweight flywheel be a proven way of feeling extra power?

You'll need to run obd1 injectors and dizzy. You'll also need to run the Prelude's IACV so need to retrofit one in place of the ATR one. You can get a kit from Rosko Racing.

What MAP sensor will you be using? The firewall mounted OBDI MAP sensor (takes a vacuum feed from the intake manifold) or the throttle body mounted OBDII MAP sensor?

I ask as I will be facing the same issue.

An important consideration is that 250hp on 1 dyno might only be 230 or 235 on another.

When I had my ITR it made 216 on one & 188 at Eurospec. This became 196 Peak when mapped. (& transformed throughout range!) Romain said most stock integras only made ~180 on their dyno so already short of factory quoted figures.

Had I gone back to the first place it would have been 220+ Peak no doubt. Proper quote-me-happy stuff.

The spec was identical between the initial runs (Mugen airbox/Twinloop/98 header/hiflow cat)...

Most factory standard A7's in an ATR only just crack 200bhp on a given dyno. A real world gain of getting on for 50bhp is quite some undertaking. The motors are supposedly not far shy of 100bhp/litre so already producing healthy figures

Of course more power is achievable with simple bolt ons & mapping- but when chasing that last little bit it's gonna get £££££

Honestly you won't notice a difference between 230ish and 250 bhp.
Getting that torque higher will make a difference. A massive fat difference. Torque torque torque.
