5th gen auto obd1 ECU?

No, not in the key of C. An H is likely involved though ...

5th gen auto obd1 ECU?

Post by crxdriver » Mon Oct 09, 2017 8:46 pm

Im good with obd0 from my CRX's but havnt worked all that much with obd1 and 2 or even auto's. After doing some research im pretty sure i need to get a P72 if i want to keep the Duel runner system in my h22. If i don't i can get any of the chippable ECUs such as P28 P30. But where do i stand with the auto? I need a auto obd1 ECU im guessing? Any help much appreciated.

Thanks.

I think you slightly misunderstand me? Im not after tuning anything to do with the auto if possible? I just want to tune the engine fuel and timing for optimum power after i fit a few mods. Thanks.

5th gens are obd2. Depending on what you do depends on which route to take.

I have a obd2 to obd1 rywire harness and checked it fits. I just need the ECU to chip and plug in.I can chip it myself as i used to chip and tune ECUs all the time back in the day. Just never had to install them lol.

maybe have a look at Robs thread on the V2 spoon copy chips - some good info that might help :)

I did look through all 26 of the pages and im pretty sure i need a auto ECU but just want to be sure. Someone must have chipped a 5th gen auto lude and knows 100% surely? They are expensive now and i want to be sure i get the right ECU. Thanks :)
