1997 Prelude Type S White
1997 Prelude Type S White
To cut a long story short,
I bought this with the intention of returning it to its former glory but a recent promotion in work means I work away quite a bit and I recently got engaged so need to free up some funds for the wedding. Asian weddings
The details are below;
1997 BB6 Prelude Type S
152,970km - 95,051 miles
Pearl White
Imported 2nd Feb 2008
I am the third owner with the first owner CRX-JIM on PUK and Fluffsta on here being the second.
PAS
ABS
ATTS (Active Torque Transfer System)
Climate Control
Dual Airbags
Modifications:
Carbon Fibre Bonnet - VIS
Carbon Fibre Spoiler - Seibon
OBX Manifold 4-2-1
Tein Flex Coilovers
17" Rays Engineering SS6 Wheels
4-2-1 Manifold
Custom Stainless System
K&N Panel Filter
The car also comes with an amp and subwoofer box but I am not really into ICE so never tried to get these up and running.
Good Bits:
*MOT to 12th July 2013
*Tax to July 2013
*Full Motegi Kit and Type S front Lip.
*Half leather/alacantra red stitched interior.
*OEM CF look dash panels.
*Cambelt changed at 100k km as due in service manual.
*There is a folder full of receipts with previous MOT's.
*Always run on V-Power with no exceptions.
Not so good bits;
*Damage to side of car, the plan was to get this repaired and I have had a few quotes from bodyshops. These range from £400 up to £600 depending on the quality of the work. Included in the sale will be a FULL Motegi kit, so you can take the one sideskirt that is needed and sell the rest on
*Lacquer has peeled on slighly on the bonnet and a fair bit on the spoiler(will get some pics)
*Small ding on the NS rear quarter panel(this was quoted with the other repairs)
*One of the headlights steams up sometimes but I have purchased headlights from here to replace them with and will be included with the car.
*I think the rear caliper is sticking so I have bought calipers and these will be replaced along with new discs and pads before the car is sold.
Other than this, the car is mechanically sound. It pulls in VTEC as it should, it stops as it should and it goes round corners at a ridiculous pace. In the short time that I have owned it, I have maybe driven it a few hundred miles but they have been enjoyable. No lights on the dash that shouldnt be there.
Interior is spot on too, there is ever so slight wear on the seat that isn't noticable unless you are very close.
The ATTS is amazing, the comfort levels are excellent and VTEC kicks in like a mofo As for handling, well having driven an ITR, supposed best FWD handling car ever to this, I cant really tell a big difference. Obviously this is a lot heavier but it has great weight distribution and the coilovers make a difference too.
Once the bodywork is repaired, it will be a great Type S for someone on here.
I have attached some pics below but I will get some more over the coming days, if you have any specific request then please let me know
A bit of history about me, I have owned God knows how many Preludes, I think Dino is still ahead of me by a couple A few of my former Preludes were sold to members and ex members on here and AFAIK there weren't any issues with them. So, basically I am a top bloke
£1400 and open to sensible offers.
Drop me a pm/text/email if you are interested.
Car is located in Glasgow.

The first three pics were taken approx a month ago, I have now taken off the wind deflector clips. Other than that, it looks exactly the same

It's already been discussed, with the cost of the repairs its way over my budget.RattyMcClelland wrote:@rob quilter
