Hey guys,
Since I have been trying to put life back in my car, I found out my current H22A8 isn’t up for it anymore.
I am busy trying to get a replacement and hopefully I got a H22A7 coming in.
I know the H22A7 is almost the same as an A8 except for the intake, so I wouldn’t think the swap would be too difficult.
But maybe I am missing some info, is there anything other stuff I need to keep in mind?
Thanks in advance for any info!
Congratulations to vtecmec for winning May/June's Lude Of The Month, with his DIY Turbo BB1 build.

H22A7 replacing H22A8
if it includes an A7 gearbox, you'll need to modify the speed sensor to work with your A8 loom.
loom wise, keep your A8 loom of course. i would also keep your A8 injectors as i seem to remember the A7 are the opposite impedance.
A7 intake mani will be fine and an upgrade, especially if you are having the car remapped (?), you'll need a FITV conversion plate i think, and either modify the fly cable holder on the mani or buy a modded replacement

Here is a page that covers what needs to be changed on a H22a7 intake manifold https://roskoracing.com/blogs/news/euro ... arts-guide

I still got my own M2P4 or what code it was again, so that would be no issue, I could still use the LSD from the U2Q7 right?Drax wrote: ↑Mon Apr 03, 2023 9:06 amif it includes an A7 gearbox, you'll need to modify the speed sensor to work with your A8 loom.

So using the A8 loom and injectors ... check
Would the A8 injectors fit? If I look at the page Merlin gave it seems you need an adjusted fuelrail.
What exactly is an FITV conversion plate, seems to be something with IACV.
Aahhh is the EuroR and H22A7 intake the same?Merlin wrote: ↑Mon Apr 03, 2023 9:19 amHere is a page that covers what needs to be changed on a H22a7 intake manifold https://roskoracing.com/blogs/news/euro ... arts-guide

The H22a8's M2P4 and the ATR's U2Q7 are essentially the same but the U2Q7 has a helical LSD.
Yeah the a8's injectors will fit but requires a modified fuel rail and yes the Euro-R and ATR are the same.

H22A7 replacing H22A8
To simplify this though, I think just the engine lump can be swapped and all the original ancillaries kept with the car?

Is it too obvious to point out that there are two different Euro Rs?
The H22 in the CL1 is the same, but not the K20 in the CL7!
