how hot? - brakes

Post by jezer101 » Sun Mar 25, 2012 7:03 pm

Do the front brakes get on hard use on a track day?

Got a track day and need new pads for day, but thats literally it, as i will then be breaking my car and prob buy a ATR or use my rx8.

So dont want to spend more than i need really.

Depends on your braking/driving style I suppose. I'm sure a regular track-dayer will be along soon to give some proper advice ;)

Prelude and atr share same brake pad shape for front calipers. Whatever you buy can be interchangeable.
Get best pad you can afford.

Try Ferodo DS3000

Personnally DS3000 is too much. Prefer DS2500's.

If your only using them for one day I wouldnt spunk too much on a set of pads. Especially if you have standard fluid and hoses, they will probably go off before OEM pads ;)
