Reconditioned Front Brake Caliper

Post by toadster » Wed Apr 03, 2024 2:07 pm

Hi All :D
Anyone on here know of a good supplier for a reconditioned front brake caliper for a 97-01 2.0i ?
I'm a bit desperate as I have booked My Lude in with My local garage but they can't find one through their usual sources :(
Cheers all ;)

how did the refurb go? I noticed my ATR callipers, the lip that holds the dust seal in place is fairly corroded which would make a refurb borderline unfeasible.

BUDWEG provides factory refurbed calipers.

I did mine by just disassembling, delivered to the paint shop, cleaned, powder-coated and then installed new internals myself. Was 50EUR for paint(all 4) and 15Eur for each internals
If everything else fails, read the manual!

It went really well
Garage fitted the part and I simply sent My old one back to get a £36 surcharge refund
The company I used was
Brakeparts.co.uk
The part arrived the next day too 8)
Cheers ;)

I recently fitted a refub oem front caliper. I got my one from local motorfactors and part was in an APEC box. I think it was about £90.
