Tyre Arch Rubbing

Post by vanzep » Thu Nov 23, 2023 5:39 pm

I have just readjusted the front upper arms on my BB1 after replacing them but skipped the bit about having the car on the deck before tightening them. I noticed some occasional odd noise from the front and when i checked the top of the ball joint in the upper wishbones were tight up against and rubbing on the bodywork. Today I reset them and the car sits a good inch higher than before and the wishbones are a good inch clear of the bodywork. So might be worth having a look at the gap between top of ball joint on the wishbone and the bodywork - you should be able to get a couple of fingers in the gap there.
