Tyre Arch Rubbing
Hi All
I have noticed a odd tyre noise over the last few weeks and thought it was due to a front passenger rim leak I get from time to time causing it to lose up to half it's pressure.
However I noticed today that My front passenger tyre is definitely rubbing the wheel arch and that's what's making the noise.
It rubs at very slow speed just driving left into My driveway up a very slight incline.
The drivers side is fine and I had never had this issue before.
I have had the alloy's and the same tyre sizes for years now.
Could it be a failing damper ?
Many thanks

The damper doesn't really affect the ride height. A cracked spring might if just a little bit cracked off the end.
More likely a bush is worn and you wheel is moving more under load. Or the arch liner is falling down a bit?

I’m thinking anti-roll bar d bushes are worn, or another bush has worn causing the extra articulation of the wheel… or the springs broke..

Broken spring is what my money is on.
13 years is a perfectly reasonable lifespan for an after market spring on a daily used car tbh.

Garage couldn't find anything wrong
He reckons the front spring's have just worn over time so car is sitting lower.
So only fix is to replace the front spring's.
Will make car higher at the front though
Cheers
