Lancaster Insurance Qote

Been trying to get reasonable insurance on my latest acquisition, a 1999 VTi Motegi. (200bhp)

Best till a moment ago was SAGA at £800.! (I am 78)

Lancaster have come up with £240.00 fully comp but very few extras. Seems very good.

Anyone dealt with Lancaster before??

That's a HUGE difference! :-) It's been a few years since I used them (for classic insurance) but always found them efficient and good at getting back to you. Never had to claim so not sure how they are on that front but they're a huge company so I'm sure they have everything sewn up! You just need to decide how to spend the cash you've saved! ;)

You won't earn any NCB.

I used Adrian flux for my lude! I think I pay 680 a year which isn't too bad (I'm 24)

Lancaster quoted me £1500! Compared to the £300 I ended up paying with Direct Line.

I used to insure my '89 Accord Aerodeck through them. I think it was around £130 at the time. I was early 30's. I've tried them again since, but my cars have been roo modern.

Shiny's right, but at that saving who cares?! :D

Again though, I never had to claim with them.

... Well, I didn't anyway.

Thanks for all your inputs.

I will take it up and report any bad vibes.

Quotes today have been as high as £3 grand plus down to £240, all on the same data.

Hard to make sense of it all.

Money saved going on refurb of Motegi wheels,
.

Hi,
Did you try us for insurance at all? If you did how did we do?
Regards,
Dan.

Lancaster are now getting arsey about where I park the car "overnight".

The car is normally kept in a secure car storage unit and I just get it out for weekends etc, (the car that is! ;) )

Will try Adrian Flux if not resolved!

By the way when is a car considered suitable for "classic" insurance??
