True. I should have pulled the car out with a rope first and put the bar on only when we had it straight and on the tarmac.

Yep. Never trust an amateur banksman.

Oh, a credit card in the garden centre plus a bit of digging and planting sorted that.

At my age, it's best not to have them anymore.

We recovered the car today.
If I can summon up the enthusiasm, I might give it a look tomorrow: go through the basics, at least.

By the way, when our old Lude did something similar, I spent ages looking for a 'post-impact reset button'. I thought I'd found it but it didn't do any good. I can't find one on this car, although they're the same model.

Sorry to hear of your crappy day, but on a better note, that bumper will just slide back in place once you remove the screw holding the bumper in place in the arch, pop it off an slot it back on the rest and screw it back in place, and I'm sure a decent polish will make the bumper look that bit better.

Hope your get it sort d with very little hassle

What a bummer.

Looking at that pic of the teg, probably bent the rear bumper support bar and the bumper will need gently heating to re-shape (looks like it will have stretched/folded near the front corner where the front fixing screw has stayed in place).
Hopefully not split any of the side fixing clips...

What a horrible bloody day. Sorry to hear such crummy news. Just think though, tomorrow must be better. ;) Fingers crossed.
