..and yes, I guess one thing I didn't consider was social deprevation - in Cornwall there are not nearly as many flash cars as there are up the line, the money just isn't here.

Perhaps my biggest win of a 'battle' and the weirdest situation I've been in with the lude was up against this beast:

Yes that is Dragon Motorsports old drag RX7 - fastest is Europe at the time with a 9.62 seconds quarter mile!

I was queued up for some runs at Japshow Finale 2006 and got to the front and this thing was waiting on the side and rolled up with me. I absolutely $hit my pants!

It sounds mean as hell, like a proper drag car. Then it did a small burnout (another soil in my trousers). Then rolled up next to me, second session I'd ever been to at the pod! Intimidation much?

Here is the result, hard to see on the worlds cr@pest phone camera at the time (plus the sound is lost on the photobucket upload). Everyone stands or comes to the front to watch this beast and look what happens:

Absolutely whooped him!

Spoke to them after and they had some serious engine issues. Yeah, yeah...I just live my life a quarter mile at a time!

Thread revival

I have not been down the 1/4r mile for a few years - turns out it is 7 years

This will be the first time out with the the BB1
7 year itch - so im going to go up to Crail for the quarter mile on March 5th
would be good to get a few other ludes up there for banter and so on.

1/4R mile this Sunday 18th Feb at Crail raceway.
I had thought it was 5th March so no time to prep but looking forward to taking the fully loaded BB1 up there and see how it compares to time in my old BB4.
It would be great to see some other ludes up there 4th or 5th
