Odd, that's the opposite side to the one I had to seal on my sister in laws.

I did both sides :)
looking at the pics tho i think im going to seal around the fixings for the tailgate struts where they meet the bodywork ;)

the jazz is now all taxed, mot'd and insured in my name so i guess im keeping it...

Re: Old Jazz - New Front Brakes

:)
New front discs and pads fitted today.
Water leak into boot - sorted at third attempt.
Undersealed the car and some paint touch in to stone chips and scuffs.

Known Faults as it stands:

Noise from gearbox bearing - ok its just a bit noisey but no problem.
Slight judder from sticking EGR - only does this occasionally
Small amount of play in drivers front strut mounting due to deteriorated rubber bushing

Nothing i can do about the gearbox bearing - will have to wait until clutch change

Id welcome any advice on how to fix sticking EGR - maybe an oil flush and change and a fuel line cleaner...

Can you not just take the egr off and clean it on the bench, like you can with a 4g one? (don't know what they're like/where they are on a jazz  )

Yep guess i could take it off and clean it like with the one on the lude.
Its easy to get to so i should have a go but unlike 2nd hand parts for the lude anything i break might be expensive - i think its about £350 for a egr valve for the jazz :)
i wonder how it would run with the egr blanked off :?
