There's a description of that in the profile thread for Lisa's bb1, linked in my footer...Merlin wrote:The DSP looks good installed. I am interested to hear what it will sound like once you get some speakers installed.
Congratulations to vtecmec for winning May/June's Lude Of The Month, with his DIY Turbo BB1 build.

Re: 1991 JDM BB1 - DSP
I should get the speakers fitted tomorrow - i will just take the kenwood ones out of the BB4
Ive also got a couple of cd changers so need to look at where i can fit that.
Also need to track down a couple of outer cv joints (abs type) and an under bonnet seal strip and thats about it
Neither is a major issue right now but the lude is very nearly completed

1991 JDM BB1
DSP is up an running with all 9 speakers working fine
Ive also tested the OEM cd changer and that all works. It fits perfectly into the centre arm rest console - still got to secure it in place and route the lead that goes to the dsp and the jobs a good un
so after all that ive got a spare dsp unit and gathers cd changer...@ @wurlycorner
Only issues are both outer cv joints need replaced as there is a fair bit of chatter at full lock but only when pulling away or parking - other wise they are ok and spot on at higher speeds.
The new front brakes have bedded in just fine although the pads took a while to settle in but thats probably due to the cold and wet weather as much as anything else.
New front and rear number plates fitted-for some reason this was a right hassle but its done
Next up will be to take the winter wheels off and look a suitable replacement
so keeping an eye out for a good set of 205/55/15's or 205/50/16's
still rating the bridgestone potenzas highly and thinking of getting a set of them on the OEM 15's or blinging it up with the PIAA split rims in 16's

No genuinely don't know the ba8 didn't have abs, so that's no good and I can't remember what the ones off the phantom grey bb1 were like... I have a pair of auto shafts somewhere I think... and I think the outer joints those are the same? If so, could be in luck

joints are the same and the non abs vs abs thing is only a matter of swapping the ring over
