The car has had a respray some time in its life. It looks like the same Prelude silver but with more metallic put in the mix.

Re: Toms 1999 VTi 4WS LHD
Guys, this week I am planning to do a major service on the 'lude and obviously this will include an air filter. Is it worth buying a K&N filter for my "typeS" intake or should I just chuck a standard one in?
Also, are there any other standard parts (spark plugs...etc) that it is worth getting a performance/uprated version?
Cheers LG. HASTA LUEGO

That's good to know. It would be good to see a dyno chart. I guess you'll save money in the long run with a reuseable filter.wurlycorner wrote:K&N filters in A8 intakes are a very popular setup, well recommended, though I don't know if anyone has dyno'd the difference on a Lude.

Bit of a sneak-peak on the maintenance coming up soon! Thanks to wurlycorner for his cam-belt parts guide I picked up some seals from Honda today. Now I'm waiting on all service items, rocker cover gasket kit and the cam-belt kit with water pump. Hoping to use the car asap.

Re: Toms 1999 VTi 4WS LHD
Slightly off topic, I finished painting the wheels on the civic yesterday and this is the turn out.
The colour wasn't what I was looking for so I guess they made it up wrong, even so I think the wheels turned out pretty cool.
Although here they look matte, the wheels are pretty glossy!
The car will soon be up for sale.

So the ep2 is up for sale and there are already a few potential buyers.
In the meantime I've started doing the cambelt job on the Lude. It's going to take me a while because I'm doing everything that I see needs doing while I'm at it. Here's todays progress, more tomorrow!

Re: Toms 1999 VTi 4WS LHD
The rocker cover got finished today, fitted camshaft seals and end seal.
New radiator is on order and I'll be ordering an auto-tensioner and radiator mounts tomorrow.
Everything that comes off is having a clean and paint if neccesary.
