I use a desktop to access the forum most of the time and much as I wouldn't want to reduce the size of the "Congratulations to norks27!"", I find that stuff like logging in or even the posts themselves get lost off the bottom of the screen. The banner header takes up a fair chunk already.

Is there a way for the LOTM / LOTY message and photo to be moved onto the main banner to free up space?

Sorry chaps, I forgot to tick a box. There should be a cross top right on the above-mentioned forum announcement to allow you to hide it when you like.
