Still not fitted the bigger update but have been busy!

Cam seal, sealant all round the outside :lol:

Cam seal replaced and engine cleaned up, Bilt hamber suffix hd is the bee knees for this, water based to!

Vtec solenoid refitted, both seals been replaced

Started the timing belt side today with the help of @vanzep. All stripped down ready for the manual tensioner conversion, seals etc

that crank bolt was a pain to get loose :x
nice car to work on apart from that!
there is more room on the cam side of the engine bay due to fact there is no power steering pump :D

Crankshaft seal replaced, new water pump fitted, manual tensioner parts fitted.

Then got my mechanic mate down to fit the belt. Lucky if it took him 3 minutes :lol:

Balance shaft seal replaced and retainer kit fitted.

Distributor refitted, new seal, rotar arm and cap

Everything back together. @vanzep did the rocker for me so thanks for that bud

Mileage of everything done, cars still in km (172258km)

Valve clearances have been done, only a couple needed adjusted.

Balance belt

Balance shaft seal and retainer
Waterpump
Cam end cap seal
Both vtec solenoid seals
Distributor seal
Rotar arm and cap
Spark plug seals
Rocker cover seal

I think you got all that work done just in time
Ive had a look at the water pump that came off the car and it looks to me like it was leaking quite a bit past the seal at the top- maybe that explains the white powder down that side of timing belt side of the block and the fact it took a load of coolant to top up ;)

Safe to say they've seen better days :lol:

Inner tie rods and track rod ends replaced.

Hopefully getting tracking done tomorrow.
