I struggle to understand how people value cars... It wouldn't even sell for half that is my reckoning.

They probably see the odd rust free Type S or S Spec fetch good money and think that their rusty pile of poo is actually worth something close, or want to fool a naive buyer into thinking so.

Although on closer inspection he claims it to have had a recent respray. So perhaps there isn't any rust
