@Sailor im guessing you haven't tried to start them? long way for me too but tempting.... ill get some prices for collection unless they go in the mean time
No, @Drax .
If I remember rightly, the blue one conked out a few times and then stopped working altogether one day. The black one just stopped. I know I tried 'known good' distributors and a few other things, but neither has been touched for over two years.
ok thanks Sailor, ive got quotes for collecting one of them so that's not an issue - likely the black one, its just convincing the wife now  im also seeing if anyone around here wants to share the project with me so it's not filling my drive the whole time

The bootlid is sound, except that the torsion bar system no longer holds it open.

The bumpers and Motegi bits are structurally good, too …

Yes, it dd look good when we originally got it.
We bought it for spares but when we got ii home, realised it was too good to break. So we cleaned it and took it to a wedding ...
... in Norway.
That Prelude taught us that we could do thousands of miles in a tin box without getting cross with each other. It made us spend our pocket money on mountain passes and lakes and ancient buildings and and.
We will almost certainly get another one at some stage.
