Hello! New BB9 Owner
Welcome
Might be worth looking at H22A8 donor engine
Only real difference between H22A7 & H22A8 is the intake manifold
pros&cons for H22A8 :-
Pros:
1/designed for the 5th gen prelude & H22A7 is not
2/will be considerably cheaper and less chance it has been hammered unlike many ATR H22A7.
3/easier to do mild&affordable mods that should take you to approx 220bhp
Cons:
1/H22A7 has better intake mani if going for higher BHP but this can be retro fitted to H22A8 but would need Hondata S300 or similar tunable ecu
2/not many H22A8's on market as it was only in late model 5th gens in UK.
sure there is more but you would need to say what bhp you are looking for and remember Honda did a good job on both A7&A8 so any power upgrades over approx 220bhp will be costly and as its front wheel drive 220bhp is best you can expect without upgrading suspension with front traction bar etc.
This is just my opinion and im sure others will chip in.

Hello! New BB9 Owner
Ah livi but at least i guessed the colour correctly
I did work in livi for 17 years and lived in Dedridge and Craigshill for 9 of them.
The A71 between Edinburgh and Livingston used to be great driving road for the lude but now sadly very slow moving.
I have a friend who is stripping his 5th gen with H22A8 engine. I see him on Sunday if you want me to ask. He is in East Lothian.
