This can happen if the 12v battery went a little bit flat, or perhaps you ran the car with the alternator belt not connected?

Check that your 12v is as it should be (over 12.5 at rest, 14v+ when running).

You should be able to retrieve a fault code from the SRS, using the flash code technique (by shorting the service connector).

If that all checks out, try turning the car on and off 20 times. I know it sounds ludicrous, but I've had similar on rover 600 which is practically an accord (which is practically a prelude). Sometimes low voltage will take a while to clear, hence the 20 key on/offs.

Cheers folks, I'll short out the service connector tomorrow and see if that helps. It's got a fairly new battery in it already so it shouldn't be that but we'll see.
