Washer Jets
well the 1st sunny day of the new year, so i decided to give the car a clean
once it was cleaned i decided to do a few little jobs that i'd been meaning to get round to doing.
1st off i fitted the new badges i'd bought to the boot lid
then i got my jazzjets to fit correctly
earlier in the year i'd picked up some of those jet spacers from an earlier model civic ( the part no. i got from madmaxs profile)
anyway.. these things
the old lude 1's just broke up when i removed them and didnt match up at all with the jazzjets and without the spacers they're too loose just wobble around
so once fitted
they the jazzjets fit alot better, the spacers aint a perfect match but its ALOT better
and a pic of the 1st clean of 2011

Re: Marts lude
Aint updated this for ages! so here goes
1st some little fixes
since i've had the car i cant ever remember the interior light coming on when the passenger door opened
in the door shut it the little switch that operate the interior light
1 small screw and off it pops
the caseing slides off easily but just remember to be careful not to loose the spring as it will shoot off
once dismantled you can see the terminals for the switch
obviously with that amount of oxidisation(sp?) on the terminals no contact was being made
so i gave them a quick clean
put it all back together again and hey presto, lights working again
a quick easy fix, something that took all of 5 minutes and i'd never got round to doing it before

Door Lock Fix
Door locks fine with the fob but not with the key
Here's how i fixed my door lock problem, its a bit fiddly but not too bad, took me around 30mins. i did it without removing the handle from the door
Firstly Get the door card off, you will need to remove some of the protective plastic to gain access
Here is a pic of a handle removed
You need to remove the retaining clip so the barrel will slide out
I just used a flat headed screwdriver to start it off then just give it a pull and it should slide out. once the retaining clip is out the barrel will just pull out. (get your hand underneath the retaining clip ready to catch it so it does'nt fall into the inner door skin, its a PITA to find )
Barrel removed with broken piece and retaining clip
Next remove the circlip holding the white plastic bit in place and swap with the new 1
Next is the Fiddly bit,as you have to do it with your hands inside the door skin.
You have to slide the metal bar from the locking mechanism back onto the white clip. Once thats on, slide the barrell back into the Handle and slide the retaining clip back into place so its secure
All back together
then to put the protective plastic back on the door card, DUCT TAPE FTW!
DONE!

Re: Marts lude
got the mugens back from speedwells, did a great job on repairing the damaged lip.
didn't know what to expect with the change in colour to Volk Bronze but i think they turned out ok
they're a bit darker than before
