Hey guys I have a 5th gen prelude with a h22a8 engine that's on its way out, I can pick up a euro r h22 engine for relatively cheap and was wondering what sort of things would need to be changed for it to go in or would it be a relatively easy swap?
Cheers

IIRC...
The Euro R engine uses a flywheel based crank sensor, whereas the A8 uses a distributor based crank sensor...
So I presume you would either need to ensure that you get the Euro R engine complete with all ancilliaries and engine wiring loom up to the bulkhead plugs, or... Swap ancilliaries incl. wiring loom from your existing A8.
I may be wrong in above though and both have flywheel crank sensors.
Also the Euro R has electric pump power steering, rather than mechanical pump - so you would need to swap the engine brackets and pump over from your A8.
Dunno what else may/may not be different...
